EGNISCO understand the fundamental importance of having reliable supply of appropriate quality woodfuel to ensure that your boiler runs cleanly, efficiently and delivers you biomass heating that works.

We also believe that for biomass installations to deliver optimum levels of carbon saving at the lowest possible cost fuel supply needs to be sourced as close as possible to the heat demand. (See “Our Ethos” for more details)

Our network of woodfuel stations and partnership arrangements with established woodfuel suppliers ensure that our customers will always receive fuel of an appropriate quality for their boiler from the nearest suitable local source.

Our aim is to continually widen our sources of supply by coordinating local woodland owners and foresters to bring under management woodland which is currently unmanaged. This not only creates security of supply for biomass users by removing dependence on large producers, but also generates employment and additional sources of income within the rural economy.

To ensure the consistent high quality of our woodchip, roundwood timber is stored at our woodfuel stations to dry for up to 9 months. Once moisture content has fallen below 30% we chip to G30 and then store in covered barns until required for delivery.
